From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. The warehouse in this case took extremely good care of their precious records, so this copy looks like it comes straight off the retail shelf from 1957! Incidentally, although both sides hit #1 on the black chart, and both hit the top 10 on the pop chart, Dave Marsh includes this single at #161 in his list of the 1001 greatest singles of rock & soul on the strength of the tremendous A side alone.
