Summertime, Summertime/ Searching For You

Finally! A beautiful copy with truly Mint audio — a cause for celebration among Jamies fans, for sure! (This Epic release was pressed on styrene, which is gorgeous when pristine but is susceptible to damage from worn or sub-par needles, which were common among those playing "Summertime, Summertime" back in 1958!) By the way, this tune charted again in 1962, on the same catalog number, and it rose to #38 on the Bilozoard pop chart. There is no difference in value between the two pressings, that I'm aware of. The 1962 release was accompanied by a picture sleeve (the 1958 release was not). The Jamies had only one or two singles and no albums. Note: This beautiful 1958 pressing comes in a vintage Epic Records factory sleeve. It has Near Mint labels and vinyl (styrene), and as noted the audio sounds Mint.
