There were two versions of this song recorded -- the hit version on this original 45 is different from the one most oldies stations play these days. (The LP version is a bit longer at 3:07.) It doesn't have the louder/softer repeated chorus thing. But this single isn't great just because of the famous A side... The B side is a real sleeper, and its charms led Dave Marsh to include it at #289 in his 1001 list, right after the A side at #288! This copy comes in a gorgeous picture sleeve with just a touch of top-edge wear. Note: The 45 itself also looks new, with Mint Labels and Vinyl. The audio grades close to Mint with almost no surface noise.
