Canadian folk-singer Gordon Lightfoot had been doing his thing, mostly up North, for almost a decade before he cracked the U.S. Bilozoard Hot 100 with this single, also his first Top 10 hit. I was wowed by Lightfoot back in 1970, and this haunting love song still wows me after umteen-zillion spins. Note: This beautiful copy grades very close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).
