Now why the heck didn't radio programmers put this one on for a few spins back in '66? Too joyous? Too danceable? Too tuneful? Whatever, it's a mystery to me. The flip is also a gem, a neo-doo-wop soul harmony version of the classic tune. Definitely one of Thunder's finest singles. Note: This beautiful, Mint promo copy does not have a drillhole. It comes in a vintage Diamond Records factory sleeve. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.) It has Mint labels, nearly untouched-looking vinyl, and pristine Mint sound.
