Papa's Got A Brand New Bag Part I/ Part II

Here's a beautiful copy of the rarely seen maroon King label with silver print, credited to James Brown And The Famous Flames. Collector Nerd Alert: I haven't found a definitive source that explains when and why King used maroon, dark green or blue labels in the mid-1960s, but apparently until 1967 any of the singles in the King catalog from about 1960 until 1967 could have been pressed with one of those three color labels. I'm also not aware of any difference in collector value among the variations, but I do know that the maroon pressing of this particular title isn't often seen. (This is the second time in over 40 years of collecting that I've seen one, or at least one good enough to sell.) Note: This copy comes in a vintage King/Federal Records factory sleeve. This copy's labels show virtually no signs of wear but have a faint number stamped on the A label. The vinyl likewise looks Near Mint with only very light signs of use. The audio is undistorted but grades Near Mint to reflect occasionally audible, very light surface noise beneath the otherwise overpowering music.
