Interesting factoid: Dylan had four top 10 singles, two of which peaked at #2, and two of which peaked at #7. Significance? None that I know of, just a peculiar circumstance. :-) By the way, the two #2 hits were this one and his biggest and best, "Like A Rolling Stone." The two #7 hits were "Positively 4th Street" and "Lay Lady Lay." Both of the tracks on this single were a preview of (and eventually included on) Dylan's classic two-LP set,
Blonde On Blonde. They are edited versions of what became the album versions: "Rainy Day Women" is 2:26 vs. 4:36; "Pledging My Time" is 2:06 vs. 3:50! Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Columbia Records factory sleeve. The labels are very close to Mint in appearance. The vinyl (styrene) looks Near Mint at first but on closer inspection I've downgraded it to reflect light scuffing. The audio sounds Near Mint overall with a touch of wear.
