Soulville/ If Ever I Would Leave You

This terrific uptempo Soul track previewed the sound Aretha made famous after moving to Atlantic, but back in 1964, no one was listening when it was first released on Columbia 43009. This 1968 single was one of Columbia's attempts to capitalize on Franklin's newfound fame... the music was still as good as it was 4 years earlier in any case! Back in '64, the track managed to "bubble under" the Bilozoard Hot 100 at #121. It did a little better in 1968. Be sure to listen to the fabulous B side in its entirety... it'll enrapture you for sure! Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Columbia Records factory sleeve. It grades very close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).
