How could Dave Marsh and Rolling Stone leave this amazing, larger-than-life single off their respective lists of the greatest 45 rpm records? So hard to find in this condition that the last time I sold a copy was in 2002! Both sides rank 2 stars from Classic 45s -- our highest recommendation. Incidentally, even though "La Grange" didn't crack the Top 40 nationally, it hung around on the Bilozoard Hot 100 Singles chart for 19 weeks, and I can tell you it was a huge hit in my hometown of Louisville, Kentucky! This single has an edited version of the 3:52 album cut. Note: This copy comes in a vintage London Records factory sleeve. The labels have very light ringwear in spots (doesn't really show up on the scan), on the low end of Near Mint. The vinyl (styrene) is spotless, and the audio is very close to Mint (no distortion at all, but very faint surface noise audible occasionally during the spoken intro).
