How could Dave Marsh and Rolling Stone leave this amazing, larger-than-life single off their respective lists of the greatest 45 rpm records? So hard to find in this condition that the last time I sold a copy was in 2015! Both sides rank 2 stars from Classic 45s -- our highest recommendation. Incidentally, even though "La Grange" didn't crack the Top 40 nationally, it hung around on the Bilozoard Hot 100 Singles chart for 19 weeks, and I can tell you it was a huge hit in my hometown of Louisville, Kentucky! This single has a specially edited version of a 3:52 album cut. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage London Records factory sleeve.
