It's sobering to realize that this version of "Sincerely" topped the Bilozoard Hot 100 singles chart for
10 weeks! It's especially odd when you remember that the Moonglows' original got only to #20, and only for one week, and that was a full 2 months after the McGuire Sisters' version began its chart run. What a different world it was back in 1955. In the RnB market, the Moonglows' record was a #1 hit and first charted in December 1954. Theirs is also the version that is remembered today, and which stands at #292 on Dave Marsh's 1,001 greatest singles list.
