Songbird

This is a new, unplayed Stereo/Stereo promo copy, in its original factory sleeve. This was the artist's biggest hit on the Bilozoard Hot 100 Singles chart. It had been released the previous year on the B side of Arista 9516, "What Does It Take...", in a full 5:00 version, and that's the version presented here, on Arista 9573. Shortly after this release, Arista 9588 came out with an edited 3:29 version. According to Joel Whitburn, "Songbird" charted for four weeks on Arista 9573, and the rest of its 22-week run was on Arista 9588. To make matters more complicated still, a version of Arista 9588 also exists with a much longer (4:51) version of the song.
