Early In The Morning / Hitchin' A Ride

Most sources indicate that this is an early 1970's reissue, but others peg it as a 1968 release. Soma was a small Minnesota label best known for a handful of major garage-rock releases, like "Liar Liar" by the Castaways. In any case, these are the same versions as on the hit singles released on PageOne. One other odd thing is that the group's name is spelled "Vanity Fair" on this release instead of "Vanity Fare." Another reason why it's in demand is that it has both of the group's top 40 hits on it... and they aren't available on any current 45 reissue.
