A Date With The Smithereens

This is a brand new copy of the incredible 7-inch vinyl box set the Smithereens put out for this album in 1994. Just like in the 1950's, when albums came out in both 7-inch box set format, and 33 1/3 LP format. Except that this set wasn't commercially available, and distribution was very limited. You have to touch and see this set to believe the quality. There are a total of 4 45's Each single is pressed on high-quality vinyl, with a 1950's-style RCA label (dog on top) and the words "Living Stereo" lining the label bottom. Each slice of vinyl is stored in its own special picture sleeve, with a cover of cool photo of one of the band members on one side and the lyrics, credits, and more artwork on the other. Each 45 has 4 songs, so you end up with 16 total. That's 2 more than came out with the CD and Cassette versions... these are special releases unique to this set. And that's not all! To quote producer Don Dixon's note on the back side of the box:

This box set has been specially mastered for vinyl using mixes that are different from the official release on compact disc and cassette... many hours of listening pleasure await as you unravel the mysterious variations of texture and nuance found between your 45 rpm records and your compact disc recording...

Now, how cool is that?

The box grades Near Mint with some light wear on the front from storage.
