This tune was the group's first Top 10 single in the U.K. (Their first single, "Love Me Do," peaked at #17.) Interestingly, the B side of the U.S. release, "From Me To You," was the group's followup to "Please Please Me" in the U.K. and became the Beatles' first #1 hit there in April 1963. Here in the U.S., the B side didn't appear on any contemporary Beatles album. This Vee-Jay variant has a black label with a rainbow band and the oval Vee-Jay logo. It comes in a beautiful, Near Mint picture sleeve... one of the group's rarest. Note: This 45 record has a small sticker taped to the A label and some light residue where another sticker was removed; the B label is pristine. Although the vinyl (styrene) is somewhat scuffed up, grading EX in appearance, the audio is almost Mint. The picture sleeve's only notable flaw is a whisper of ringwear (doesn't show up well in the scan).
