The A side continues Clapton's string of mellow, laid-back tunes he started in the mid-1970s, but watch out for the flip! It's the reason this single is grouped in the Blues Rock category. "Rita Mae" is a sizzling, super-fast, self-penned tune of love anguish, featuring Clapton's guitar wizardry like in the "old days." This is one of only a few Clapton singles that came with a picture sleeve, and the first since one released in 1973 with his classic "Bell Bottom Blues." By the way, the A side is specially edited from a much longer (5:50) album track. Note: This beautiful 45 record has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio), and the picture sleeve is nearly flawless!
