Here's a real wild one... The A side is the studio group's only chart single, having grazed the bottom of the U.S. pop charts in early 1981. It's notable not only for its utter strangeness, but also for having been cowritten and produced by Ace Frehley, lead guitarist for the rock group Kiss. The sound is so unique that calling it "Disco" is just the closest approximation for what Crazy Joe is all about. I couldn't find anything meaningful about the group on the web, but clearly Crazy Joe had some great ideas. Take a listen, for example, to the B side, another track from the group's album. It's so shockingly wonderful I couldn't resist socking a snippet into the jukebox. Get up and
dance! I wish I knew who was doing the great vocal parts for Madam Palm... man, is she great or what? It's also worth noting that "Madam Palm" can be considered an early Rap track as well... Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Casablanca Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and pristine sound.
