This was Glitter's second second, a moderately successful followup to his smash debut, "Rock and Roll, Pt. 2." One of the linchpins of the U.K. "Glam Rock" scene, Glitter was extremely popular there, racking up 11 Top 10 hits during 1972-75, three of which hit #1. This single reached #4 on the U.K. pop chart. Here in the States, "I Didn't Know I Loved You" was one of only two chart singles for the rocker.
