Philadelphia Freedom/ I Saw Her Standing There

Not appearing on any of his studio albums, this 45 was one of Elton's tributes to the then-dominant "Sound of Philadelphia," featuring string arrangements by Gene Page. It was one of a handful of singles that also found airplay in the Black radio market. The song was dedicated to Billy Jean King and her team, the Philadelphia Freedoms. Note that the flip features a duet with John Lennon. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage black MCA Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and very nearly Mint vinyl and audio.
