Originally released on Uni 55318. Trivia note: From the time Elton John first hit the top 40 with 'Your Song' in 1970, this is the only single he released that failed to reach the top 40 until 'Heartache All Over the World' in 1986. But it's still got to be one of his best and best loved. I'm sure one reason it failed to do better is that it was (!) over 6 minutes long. The promo release did have a severely edited version, but it didn't have the same impact. This is a like-new copy of the light blue-label MCA reissue. Note: This 45 record comes in a vintage MCA Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and nearly untouched-looking vinyl. The audio is Near Mint with a light touch of underlying surface noise audible during the quiet opening. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
