This terrific slice of power pop fun, featuring Elton John prominently on backing vocals, was Lennon's only #1 hit prior to his death in December 1980. ("(Just Like) Starting Over" rose to #1 about the time of his death and went on to become his all-time biggest hit.) The A side is credited to John Lennon with the Plastic Ono Nuclear Band (which included Elton John). By the way, the B side is a special treat all its own, and it's this side that earns two stars from us. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Apple Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and vinyl and very nearly Mint audio.
