This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the
Louise Neal 45 Collection, in its original Mercury Records factory sleeve. This great Girl Group single first got airplay for its "B" (according to the matrix numbers) side in December 1963. But in a few weeks, radio programmers began spinning the "A" side ("442"), and that tune ultimately did better on the Bilozoard Hot 100... though neither side got the airplay they deserved. "442 Glenwood Avenue" is a must-own slice of the Girl Group sound, which was at its peak in 1963. By the way, "Winter" is a non-album cut that's missing from their only LP. Note: This beautiful and rare promo release would grade pristine Mint across the board, but the "Winter" label has a red "Plug Side" star stamped on it. The vinyl and audio are pristine.
