It's really hard to not think about sex when listening to this woman pleading for it... and pleading so nicely, too! Lavette is one the most under-appreciated female soul singers from the classic period, and this is one of her best numbers. Despite all her great records, she never even cracked the Bilozoard Hot 100 singles chart, and had only one top 10 RnB single (and it was a ballad, not the funky soul she really excelled at).
