Stepping out of his "Dog" theme for a bit, southern soul master Rufus Thomas still packed both sides of early singles like this one with essential early soul-funk. This big hit was a non-album single, by the way. Note: This beautiful copy has Near Mint labels with a touch of ringwear so typical of Stax 45s (see scan). The vinyl has some light scuffing, more on the B side than the A, grading a strong EX in appearance. The A side audio plays Near Mint with a touch of underlying surface noise. The B side audio is a bit noisier and would separately grade a strong EX.
