Make Believe/ Groovin' With Mr. Bloe

The A side of this obscure 1969 single is another terrific pre-Dawn track featuring Tony Orlando, and the B side is a Bubblegum/Northern Soul-style, non-album instrumental by a group of New York session musicians (led by Bo Gentry and Kenny Laguna), who released the same track as a single the following year under the name Cool Heat (hit #89 on the pop chart). "Make Believe" may not grab you the first time through, but just try listening to it twice, and you'll have a friend for life! A nearly perfect "buildup" song that's a great demonstration of what a great vocalists Orlando was. All in all, a lot of great, fun music in a single package.
