Man, this is a hard single to find! "Nadine" was a pretty big hit at the time  Berry's first after serving time for tax evasion. In his comeback, he racked up 5 hits in 1964, but "Nadine" hasn't retained the luster of some of those other 1964 classics, such as "Promised Land" or "You Never Can Tell." But it's great enough to land spot #661 on Dave Marsh's list of the 1,001 greatest 45s of the rock era. By the way, this was a non-album single, not appearing on any of Berry's contemporary albums, only on later compilations. Note: This copy's labels have a touch of ringwear, grading a strong EX. The vinyl and audio grade Near Mint. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
