A new single by Jimi Hendrix? Hasn't all of his previously unreleased material already been previously released? Well, that would be a "Yes!" and a "No!" Hendrix' sister Janie, who's been instrumental in building the box sets of Hendrix' vinyl singles and other packages, has discovered a whole album's worth of original Hendrix studio recordings. The album was set for release on March 9, 2010, and this 45 rpm was part of the lead-off for that release. All I can tell you is, If you are a Hendrix fan, this will make your day! It's definitely not studio-castoff material. The A side was recorded in 1969-70, and the B side in 1967. Incidentally, the gorgeous cover painting is
also by Jimi Hendrix! Note: The 45 has a large spindle hole. The B side is a track with Hendrix on guitar, but a newer vocal (non-Hendrix) added on.
