Cut the Cake

Stereo/Mono promo copy. God, were these some seriously funky Scots, or what? That guitar and bass line simply can't be beat by any funk band, black or white. Sadly, like a lot of bands, they shot their wad with their first 2 or 3 singles and couldn't top themselves after that. Note: The group's name was shortened to AWB for this and subsequent releases. This promo has some deejay scribble on the Stereo side? clearly, someone was surprised by the "cold" ending of the track. Probably embarrassed himself on the air the first time? :-)
