Jim and Jean were an American folk music duo active during the 1960s. Comprised of Jim Glover and Jean Ray, their musical style was characterized by their harmonized vocal arrangements, blending elements of traditional folk, pop, and protest music. They were notably influenced by, and were contemporaries of, Bob Dylan and Phil Ochs. Their most recognized work is probably their version of Phil Ochs' "There But for Fortune," which showcases their signature sound. Their music, while not commercially successful at its time, has had a lasting influence on the folk genre.
