Jimmy Hughes is an American rhythm and blues singer and songwriter, most active during the 1960s. He was one of the first artists to record with the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, contributing significantly to the establishment of the Muscle Shoals sound. Hughes is known for his soulful, emotive vocals, and his biggest hit, "Steal Away," is considered a classic of the Southern soul genre.
