Larry Young

Larry Young was an American jazz organist and pianist, renowned for his innovative contributions to the genre of jazz fusion. He is best known for his work with the band Lifetime, which included notable jazz figures such as Tony Williams and John McLaughlin. Young's unique style integrated complex harmonic structures and pushed the boundaries of the Hammond B3 organ's capabilities, moving away from the traditional soul jazz approach. His most influential work, "Unity," is recognized as a seminal album in the post-bop genre.
