Lewis Lymon and the Teenchords were an American doo-wop group from the mid-1950s, significant as one of the first teenage groups in that genre. Led by Lewis Lymon, younger brother of Frankie Lymon of the Teenagers fame, the band was known for its harmonious, rhythmic style and youthful energy. Their most well-known track, "I'm So Happy," is often considered a classic of the doo-wop era. Despite their short-lived career, the Teenchords made a lasting impact on the development of doo-wop and the broader trend of teenage musical groups.
