Lord Sitar

Lord Sitar was a pseudonym used by renowned British session musician and arranger, Big Jim Sullivan, in the late 1960s. Known for his proficiency in playing the sitar, an Indian stringed instrument, he released an eponymous album in 1968 that comprises instrumental covers of popular songs of the era. His music style, a fusion of pop and Indian classical music, was a part of the brief but influential raga rock trend, contributing to the broader cultural fascination with Indian music and spirituality during the period. Sullivan's work under the Lord Sitar moniker is often noted for its distinctive combination of Eastern and Western musical elements.
