MARRS was a one-off recording act from the UK, formed in 1987 by members of alternative rock bands A.R. Kane and Colourbox. Their unique fusion of electronic and alternative rock resulted in the groundbreaking single "Pump Up The Volume", which became a worldwide hit and helped popularize "sampling" in pop music. Despite their brief existence, MARRS' innovative approach to music production significantly influenced the development of electronic, dance, and sample-based music genres.
