Odyssey is an American disco and soul band, most active during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The band, originally composed of the Lopez sisters, is best known for their 1977 hit "Native New Yorker", an expression of disco music's increasing popularity. Their style combined elements of soul, pop, and Caribbean music, a fusion that contributed to the diverse sounds of the disco era. Despite numerous changes in line-up, Odyssey's music remains a significant part of the late 20th century dance music canon.
