O'Jays

The O'Jays are an American R&B group from Canton, Ohio, formed in 1958. Known for their soulful, emotive vocals and lush instrumentation, the group achieved significant success in the 1970s under the Philadelphia soul genre. Key members Eddie Levert and Walter Williams, Sr. contributed to the group's distinctive sound, which was characterized by songs like "Love Train" and "Back Stabbers." The O'Jays' music has had a lasting influence on the genre of R&B, earning them induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
