Rock The Joint/ Icy Heart

Arguably the very first Rockabilly single, this was Haley's first release from 1952, a cover of Jimmy Preston's top 10 RnB hit from 1949. It was actually the intended B side, as "Icy Heart" is a Country ballad, and that's the market Haley was clearly aiming for originally. Credited to Bill Haley with The Saddlemen, this was a non-album single. Collector Nerd Alert: This is the very valuable first pressing with the "block style" Essex logo. Note: This beautiful copy has Near Mint labels, and the vinyl looks Near Mint for its age, with light storage wear. The A side ("Rock") audio is Near Mint with light underlying surface noise. The B side ("Icy") has more noticeable noise and would separately grade EX.
