Whatever Makes My Baby Feel Good

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. Here's a brand new copy of the very rare George Clinton single released on the Funkadelic Records label. What a label design, eh? As far as I'm aware, this is the only Funkadelic Records 45 Clinton engineered. Here, he's sharing lead vocal credits with Rose Williams, another Detroit-area soul artist of the late 1960's, and backed by the Funkadelics, a group he had formed just a few months earlier with the rhythm section of his previous band, the Parliaments. I think this single came out shortly before Clinton ever issued an actual Funkadelics single, which was Westbound 148. Of course, both Funkadelic and Parliament coexisted and thrived in the 1970's, with mostly the same personnel but on different labels. This amazing rarity occurred at the nexus of Clinton's changeover from Parliaments to Funkadelic. Note: The B side is an instrumental version.
