P.F. Sloan

P.F. Sloan was an influential American singer-songwriter during the 1960s and 70s, known for his folk rock and pop rock style. Born Philip Gary Schlein, he became a seminal figure in the mid-1960s folk rock movement, penning numerous hits for popular bands of the era. His most notable work, "Eve of Destruction", was performed by Barry McGuire and became a number one hit in 1965, reflecting the era's political and social unrest. Despite his relatively short active period, Sloan's distinctive songwriting and musical style significantly contributed to the landscape of American popular music.
