Handbags And Gladrags/ Man Of Constant Sorrow

The A side was first released on a 1969 single, Mercury 73009, with a different flip. This 1972 release came as the company tried to mine older Rod Stewart recordings after he became a star with 1971's "Maggie May." Surprisingly, it almost cracked the U.S. Top 40. By the way, the label credits the piano part to song author Mike D'Abo. Note: This copy comes in a vintage Mercury Records factory sleeve. The audio grades Near Mint, reflecting an occasional very light bit of surface noise on this quiet track.
