Don't Knock The Rock/ Choo Choo Ch'Boogie

The B side of this single was a huge hit in 1946 for a group that was one of the biggest influences on Bill Haley and his group... In fact, it was the biggest of over a dozen #1 hits for Louis Jordan and His Tympany Five. Jordan's music was so universally admired and loved that, despite being a black man in a time of rampant racism in the U.S. record industry (and generally), he had a string of top 10 hits on the Billboard pop chart in the 1940s. "Choo Choo Ch'Boogie" made it to #7 pop. This is a copy on the black Decca label with silver print.  The vinyl looks nearly untouched, the labels have some sticker residue, and the audio, gratefully, is pristine Mint!  All this wrapped in a Decca vintage sleeve!
