Root Boy Slim & the Sex Change Band was an American rock band active from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. Led by vocalist and songwriter Foster MacKenzie III, better known as Root Boy Slim, the group was known for its eclectic style which fused elements of blues, rock, and comedy. They were notably backed by the famed Sex Change Band, which included musician Ron Holloway, a renowned tenor saxophonist.
