S.O.U.L.

S.O.U.L. (Sound of Unity and Love) was an American funk and soul band formed in Cleveland, Ohio in the early 1970s. The group was known for their fusion of jazz, funk, and soul music, characterized by tight rhythms and powerful brass sections. Their most significant contribution to music history was their 1972 hit "Burning Spear", which remains a classic in the funk genre. The band's lineup included notable members such as Larry Hancock on vocals and piano, and Gus Hawkins on saxophone and flute.
