Smoke City was a British band that blended elements of acid jazz, trip hop, and Brazilian styles such as bossa nova and samba. The band, active from 1994 to 2002, was noted for its unique fusion of electronic sounds with more traditional musical instruments. The group consisted of notable members Nina Miranda, Mark Brown, and Chris Franck, with Miranda's distinctive vocals contributing significantly to their signature sound. Their most influential work is arguably their 1997 single "Underwater Love," which gained widespread recognition after being featured in a Levi's advertisement.
