Sounds Orchestral

Sounds Orchestral was a British instrumental ensemble formed in 1964, led by John Schroeder and Johnny Pearson. Their signature style combined elements of easy listening, jazz, and classical music, often reinterpreting popular tunes of the time. The group achieved their greatest success with their jazz-infused rendition of "Cast Your Fate to the Wind", a track that became a top 10 hit in the United States in 1965. Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, Schroeder and Pearson remained the defining voices of the ensemble, contributing significantly to the easy listening genre.
