Sue Ann Carwell, known professionally as Sue Ann, is an American R&B singer who launched her career in the late 1970s. Her style incorporates elements of funk, pop, and rock, showcasing her powerful, soulful vocals and eclectic musical influences. She is best remembered for her 1981 hit single "My Baby, My", which reached the top 10 on the Billboard R&B chart. Despite her relatively brief peak in popularity, Sue Ann made notable contributions to the Minneapolis Sound, the genre that also launched Prince, with whom she worked closely early in her career.
