Teenage Fanclub is a Scottish alternative rock band formed in 1989. Their musical style is marked by harmony-laden, guitar-driven songs reminiscent of the 1960s' West Coast sound, with influences from Big Star and The Byrds. The band is comprised of notable members Norman Blake, Raymond McGinley, and Gerard Love, each of whom contribute as songwriters. Their album "Bandwagonesque" (1991) brought them considerable acclaim, hailed for its melodic richness and was even named 'Album of the Year' by Spin magazine, outpacing Nirvana's 'Nevermind'.
