All good Clash fans know that Joe Strummer (one of the Clash's lead singers and songwriters) started life as the lead singer for a London RnB-style rock band called the 101ers. They put out only one single and, after the band was already kaput, one album of material. (Only 2,000 copies of the LP makes it a
very collectable item.) After numerous requests for a reissue of that LP, Strummer's widow (Strummer died tragically of a heart attack in 2002) authorized a reissue, and in 2005 Astralwerks released the album on CD and, in limited edition, on vinyl. They also released one single--this one, which likewise is no longer available. \r\n
Fans of Joe Strummer who've never heard this early material will be amazed at how great it is! Both sides are terrific... the A side is a neo-Rockabilly track, while the flip is a great Power Pop number with top-notch guitar and, of course, vocals. Both songs were written by Strummer and the band.

As an extra bit of icing on this cupcake, there's a rare photo of Strummer and the 101ers on the picture cover. Note: This issue has a custom label and a small hole.
