The Castaways are an American rock band, formed in the Twin Cities, Minnesota in 1962. They are best known for their hit "Liar, Liar" which showcased their garage rock style characterized by its simple, raw, and energetic sound. The group, which originally consisted of members James Donna, Robert Folschow, Dick Roby, Roy Hensley, and Dennis Craswell, had a significant influence on the mid-1960s American rock scene.
