The Crows were an American doo-wop group, formed in 1951. They are most notable for their song "Gee," which was a key influence in the development of rock and roll and was one of the first rock and roll hits. The group consisted of lead singer Daniel "Sonny" Norton, Harold Major, Bill Davis, Gerald Hamilton, and Mark Jackson. Their style, characterized by tight harmonies and rhythmical backing, played a significant role in the transition from rhythm and blues to rock and roll.
